I'm going to pick the question about Jesus' core values because I just happen to have Daniel Erlander's Baptized, We Live lying on my computer desk, serendipitously opened to just the right page:

Submission to God's will.

Absolute trust in God.

Dedication to human liberation.

Solidarity with human pain.

Freedom to be weak, human and vulnerable.

Paradigmic events...I can barely spell that, let alone think about it, but...let me take a stab:

The Sinai experience -- the experience of the Jews as being in a covenanted relationship with God.

The Cross.

My paradigmatic events are the Exodus, the Exile, and the crucifixtion... not quite as relational as yours, more about finding hope in anguish.
