Another proof that Walmart employies are crazy

Wooten applied for unemployment benefits but was denied by Administrative Law Judge Susan Brightman, who ruled that "a reasonable person would know the act of showing a naked body wearing a Wal-Mart sack would not be good for the employer's business."

Week 1 Done

Well, one week down, 11 to go. Here are a few thoughts I've had:
1. Garrison Keillor is wrong, English Majors are not sexy, but instead are so obsessed with the specialization of their field that they sound like pompus name droppers.
2. Daniel Falk is the smartest Lutheran I've met.
3. JJ Rousseau wrote a LOT

The Questions for tonight

The Questions
1. What do we do with the military language within our religious traditions (eg “LORD of Hosts,” etc)? Does its existence advocate for war?
2. Is worship/belief of God for the sake of getting into heaven worship/belief? If not why is it people worship God? For God’s sake alone? How does our intentions play into this?
3. Is the organization of religion the problem with religion? How else can we experience God in community? Is that the problem, is community over rated?
4. Would Jesus be a Reagan Democrat?
5. Is there any reasonable (logical) way to make people believe in God?
6. Is resurrection/life after death necessary for Justice? Is Justice necessary?

Sitcoms... do they reflect reality?

Check out this article. Long short sitcoms today involve sexy competent women and fat childish men. The reason they are entertaining is because the woman says, "Yup, that's me, I'm perfect, and yes my husband is an ass." The guys on the other hand get to say, "I don't have to do jack and I can be married to a super model."
Peace,
Chris

A Gnostic quote (not to be confused with the Eugene Gnostics)

The Gnostic Theodotus once summarized the content of gnosis as: "Who we were, what we have become; Where we were, whither we were thrown; Whither we are hastening, from what we are redeemed; What birth is, and what is rebirth?"
