A bit from my first essay: Proverbs

The intent of Proverbs can be summed up well by paraphrasing its preface found in Proverbs 1:2-7. Proverbs was meant to teach humans wisdom, righteousness, justice and equity. To do this it inculcates the simple with prudence and the young with discretion. To do this it increases the learning of the wise and gives to men of understanding knowledge of the riddles, proverbs and figures of the wise. Proverbs envisions banishing the rule of foolishness and replacing it with the reign of knowledge through the fear of the LORD.

Pigeon falls: Roasting Dr. John night

Now, I must say I’ve never been to Pigeon Falls. In fact, I don’t know if such a place exists, but if it didn’t it would have to be created. It would have to be created because there is something within Man that yearns for dragons, the dark organic underside of are passions, to roam and trains, the metallic expression of our intellectual power, to run. There is within Man a desire for the characters of simplicity, honest, and quirkiness to be manifest outwardly in our neighbors, the inhabitance of Pigeon Falls, instead of being bottled up inside, for none to see. Yes, if Pigeon Falls doesn’t exist it would have to be created.

Lebanon

So. This was the 4th anti-Syrian guy killed as of late. Now, I have to say I've been in support of this new direction in Iraq in which we actually talk with the neighbors of the country, but I can't help but feel a little queezy about dealing with Syria whenever I think about their actions in Lebanon.
