The reason they are entertaining is because the woman says, "Yup, that's me, I'm perfect, and yes my husband is an ass." The guys on the other hand get to say, "I don't have to do jack and I can be married to a super model."

They reflect the growing anti-male bias in American society. Think about it—after the "Girl Power" explosion of the 90's, men are vastly outnumbered by women in advanced high school and college classes, and starting to be outnumbered in certain professional fields. After the feminist revolution in the 70's, women adopted what was previously the social role of men. After having been displaced, men as a group have still not recovered enough from the shock to carve out a new social niche for themselves, and society will suffer from the imbalance until they do.
