Kucinich is running again "If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try, try, try again."

So far we have...
Dems: Bayh, Biden, Kucinich, Vilsack, and Gravel.
Reps: Brownback, Cox, Smith, Hunter, Giuliani, and McCain.
It seems to me that the serious Republican candidates are accounted for, but the Democrats are all waiting for something... someone... Al Gore and Hillary Clinton.
Peace,
Chris

No way Gore is a serious contender. Hillary and Obama are the only serious Democratic contenders.

I don't think there's any stopping of Giuliani, frankly. McCain will be runner up in the Republican primaries. If he choses to run as Giuliani's vice pres, that would seal a win for the Republicans in 2008.

I would respectfully disagree Judah. A large swath of the left feels Al Gore had the country stole from him in 2000 and would like nothing more than to see him in office as the ultimate repudiation of the Bush years. Further, his high profile from “An Inconvenient Truth” has got him further “street creds” with the left. In short the primary is his to lose. That said I think Obama and Hillary are two other party giants.
As for Giuliani he is kind of a troublesome candidate for the Republican Party. He’s pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-gay rights, cross-dresses, and has been divorced 2 times. This isn’t the kind of candidate that most Republicans would relate to (unless things have changed a lot back home since I came to England 2 years ago). Not to say he’s a bad candidate, after all 9/11 has lionized him to the max, and most people associated him with getting things done and standing up to terrorism. I don’t know, it just seems that if he looks better in a dress than Hillary does there is something wrong with the picture…
Peace,
Chris

I voted for Al Gore as far back as the 1988 primary (the first year I was eligible to vote), and I wouldn't mind seeing him run again. I'd also like to see John Edwards make another go at it.

That said, I'll probably vote for Hilary if she runs.

Giuliani is all the things you say, except I wasn't aware of the cross dressing. :-) I listened an interview of Giuliani on the Dennis Prager radio show, and he basically denied his pro-abortion stance and his pro-gay marriage stance. He said he promoted same sex unions, but never promoted same-sex marriage.

Anyways, he's a giant among centrist Republicans, and generally a likable personality; he'll be tough to beat.

Chris, I really believe you're dead wrong about Al Gore. No way he beats Hillary or Obama in the primaries. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong, but I just don't see centrists going for Al Gore. He isn't a likable guy, very boring, and most of America thinks of him not as a lovable loser, but as a boring, stiff tree that talks an awful lot about the environment in a completely monotone voice. No way he wins president or even the primaries.

Hillary is seen as too liberal by most of the heartland, she could very well win the primaries, but she won't have a chance against Giuliani.

Barak Obama is the Democrat's only real shot at beating either Giuliani or McCain, IMO.

I'll be voting for McCain if he runs.

I LOVE DENIS KUCINICH!

We don't have time to prattle around the center.
