Proof that College Republicans are a danger to society.


Two political rallies turned into a brawl Saturday night in Des Moines.

A Democratic rally at Drake's Olmstead Center, urged young Iowans to get out and vote. It was targeted toward high school and college students. A group known for not voting. The rally featured comedian Janene Garafalo and classic rock star Joan Jett, but it got a surprise visit from some unwanted guests.

A group of college republicans at their Midwest caucus leadership conference heard about the rally and stormed in.

"There are seven of us who worked really hard at putting this conference together, said Jason Cole of the college republicans. "so, we met, discussed and majority ruled. We went down there."

What they didn't discuss is what to do if things get out of hand. One of the Bush supporters shoved Jett and she pushed back in anger. Ole said that was the decision of one person, and not at all representative of what the conference was trying to do.

Campus security did show up break things up. The concert did resume as planned. In fact, Jett wrapped up her day with two more performances. One in Fort Dodge, the other in Marshalltown.

publication.

Sorry, but not quite a match here. I don't pick up too many stories
dealing
directly with angels, demons, or the like. More just a personal taste
issue
than anything specifically wrong with the ilk. I also felt there was
too
much telling here where you could have instead showed the reader
something,
thus bringing them further into the story. For example, in describing
the
cat you say, "It is skinny and malnourished." Very well, but why not
show
us that it's skinny and malnourished instead of telling us?

What can I say. I'm batting around zero. Eh.

The Questions
1. If it is true that “it isn’t good for man to be alone,” why are relationships difficult and the state of being alone so attractive?
2. The Bible says, “and in doing this Jesus declared all food clean.” Even if all food is clean should all food be ate? Was it all food CAN be eaten or all food SHOULD be eaten?
3. Which creation story makes more sense to you? Which “feels” the best?
4. If Jesus’ death on the cross destroyed sin death and the devil why do bad things still happen?
5. Is there a certain amount of discontinuity between David and his house and Jesus? By that I mean no one claimed David was divine, why do we claim Jesus was divine?

Hey hey! I'm back from Wyoming. I preached on Christmas Eve and got my candidacy papers in the mail a couple of days ago!
Well, not much else going on here, reading up a storm for all my 300/400 level classes. There are Grad students in my Genesis class, which is kind of interesting.

Well, I'm leaving the land of the Oregon Ducks for Christmas. I enter the air at 2:15pm. Wyoming here I come.
